Topic: Ahhh, the carnage... I guess it truly is "Welcome to Lemons!"

So the person who I was coerced into allowing to do the cage welding texted me yesterday that he's too tired to help out. So I've let my other leads drop and now he drops. great.

1 team member/driver is on vacation this weekend so no work from him.

And the guy who was doing the lion's share of the work blew up at me for not keeping a posted whiteboard schedule and now he's quit!

I'm down to 3 drivers (and I myself might not even be able to drive which may make it 2 drivers), no cage, no wiring done, engine in pieces, tranny still in pieces, needed brake parts, wheels and tires still 3.5 hour round trip drive away...

And the race is in 17 days.

I still think I can get 'er done, though (and I've never EVER before been mistaken for an optimist!).

You'll be able to recruit drivers from teams with dead cars at the track- and don't worry, there'll be no shortage of them with 110° temperatures nuking 40% of the cars in the first hour of racing- so all you need to do is get the car together by then. See, no problem!
