Topic: Do Rookie Teams Need to Buy Licenses and Fees to Be Considered?

My all-rookie team  is looking forward to a good showing at Sears Pointless '11, with Bavarian flags and 1-liter beer steins waving in the wind. Given how popular the series has become, however, a few of our less solid of intestinal fortitude members are worried about getting in.

Question is,  Do we have to buy our Lemons Licenses and pay up the entry fees to be considered? Or do we wait for the magic "we'll let you know by" date? Registration has some nasty red "NOT YET COMPLETED" text until we cough up $300.

BTW, We're bringing a stripped out, slightly wrecked '86 528e - that's the E-fficient model and lowest power (can you believe people paid extra for that!?!). Not particularly important for the question, though. Thanks in advance.

Once the cut has been made, if you've been accepted it will allow you to pay for all the fees and licenses. Till then, brink beer and fidget, blow something up. Maybe double-check your writeup and make sure you have a solid goofy theme just in case.

work on the car, theme and your essay.  Licenses can wait and the entry fee you can't even pay until you get accepted. Also rereading the rules a couple times doesn't hurt, and since its a ways out you can start composing your victory speech.:)
