Topic: Forum under assult from SPAMBOTS

I've deleted about 30 new users that were obvious spam bots this morning alone. It looks like this attack is coming through servers in California.

Everyone keep an eye open in case a few get past me. Hit the REPORT button so a MOD can take care of it.

Hopefully this wave will be over soon.

It seems to be happening at other forums too, so it looks like the spambots are focusing on annoying people in forums this year.  Fun

Well, the surge died down about 11a eastern time. I ended up deleting 30-40 bots before it was done.

This one was different from other attacks in that the links were directed to Mexican domains.

I've got my fingers crossed it will be quiet for a few days.
