Topic: Need help in Austin, TX

I was wondering if any of you Texas Lemons guys who also are decent mechanics could go take a look at my buddy's Explorer. He's monetarily declined and the vehicle's his only source of transportation. He's been saying he thinks there's a problem with the brakes (air? seized caliper?) so needs the mechanicals given a once-over. If it's pretty simple and straight-forward give me & him a parts estimate, I'm probably going to pay for a few items just to get him mobile. He says he can offer some great food, and I'll front some beer money for the effort. You'll need to bring some tools, as such his monetary declination that he was messaging me about prices for a jack to even look at the thing. Yup, THAT poor.

i dunno exactly, he said he's right off I35? so i guess that's a pretty straight alley. He's still Broke, both in car and in wallet. I'm going to talk to him tonight and glean some more details. would you be OK with popping by and at giving him an idea of what he's in for?
