Is this cage legal for a e30 BMW?

Thank you, Frank

Re: Is this cage legal?

At the very least it needs another door bar on the drivers side, and those spreader plates look tiny.

You are only entitled to the space you occupy.

Re: Is this cage legal?

Actually, I believe that cage comes with two drivers door bars, no matter what the pic shows, but confirm that.      And yes, you will need to add to the spreader plates

Gosh, my business card says 'Tech Tyrant'

Where you located?

Planning to weld it in or just bolt it?

$831.00!!!!  Damn.  That doesn't even include shipping right?  I'd do a little research if I were you.  Our cage was less than $600 and the price at Roll Cage Components has dropped since then IIRC.

I was going to mention that too.  Between that and shipping, you can have a custom cage built someplace local.

We won the IOE at Southern Discomfort.
We got screwed at The Real Hoopties of New Jersey  and we took cars down with us.
We got the curse at Capitol Offense but they wouldn't let us destroy the car.

Re: Is this cage legal?

If you're going to pay someone to weld it, just pay someone who knows what they are doing and has 1st hand experience building legal cages that have passed tech build you one.

No hassle and your supporting a hard-working American who actually does good services.

Roll Cage Components in Richmond VA does a fine job and has done a TON of Lemons and Chump work.  They're current on Lemons cage req's and probably have measurements for your application already.

We used them for the Parnelli Jones Galaxie and received an outstanding product.  We went down there and had some custom work done and got out of there for far less than $800.
