Topic: Anyone run a Packard yet?

http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/2289682310.html

I have a friend that's a Packard fan. I could have gotten a rolling, nearly complete '53 for next to nothing. This is serious IOE material here, but the '51+ cars aren't as heavy as you might think. A La Carrera Panamericana theme would do as would a Cuban Government Staff Car, but I think both themes have been done before.

Re: Anyone run a Packard yet?

I don't think we've seen a Packard yet, but there's been at least one Stude.
Also, Judge Phil will be your best friend if you bring a straight-eight to a race.
Oh, and nice avatar. cool

Re: Anyone run a Packard yet?

If you end up getting that car, I can refer you to a great cage builder near there with VERY reasonable fees.

you could show up with the "i'm here to race Lemons in a Packard" theme and be just fine, so long as you bring the Packard

Yee-Haw 2010 "Most Heroic Fix" & "I Got Screwed" -2 trophies for 1 lap, but I took checkered on my lap.
Gator-O-Rama 2012 "Organizers Choice" -2 laps 1 trophy, but i still finished ahead of an E30
Yee-Haw 2013 No trophy -26 laps, I think I see a pattern here
Gator-O-Rama 2014 "Waiting for the Last Minute Call from the Governor Award" -who's counting? John

Re: Anyone run a Packard yet?

I agree with john, no theme needed for that fine piece of rolling chicanery.
