Yes, fluids count but c'mon.  These judges aren't going to climb under your car and check your diff fluid.  The judges won't waste their time looking for cheaters with super duper synthetic oil...  They are more concerned about go fast suspension parts, go fast motor parts, go fast computer parts, etc...

We are the people your parents warned you about.

Re: How are trans, differential, engine oil. etc treated budget wise?

Go with the most expensive you can find. Lemons HQ really likes to see the stuff spread all over the track, it makes things shinier.

On a serious note there is really no rules as far as what kinds of oils you use in your car. We used Royal Purple in our first car and synthetic in the next, for Buttonwillow we used a slightly thicker but regular oil. We can't afford replacing the more expensive oils at every race.

Oil, what oil?  It was just born there.

Id put synthetic in the fox but it would just leak out faster!

That was a good question.. I wondered the same.. Maybe a fake dipstick with sludge on the end for BS inspection purposes? wink

I would guess should prolly claim it.

I really believe that you might be, just might be, overthinking this a bit.

The oil in the Gnome is worth more than the engine.

Oil is the lifeblood of the engine.  For a 24 hour endurance race, throw synthetic in.  It'll resist breakdown better.  Walmart has 5qt Mobil1 containers for like $20!
