Topic: Look at my 914-6!

I'm pretty excited how it turned out.
It has a 2.6 flat six 911 race engine, full cage and lots of suspension tweaks including a 31mm front sway bar. Should make 200hp in a 2000# chassis.

Still working out the details on brake/wheel fitment for the 13x8 fronts and 13x10 rears with Goodyear radial race slicks.

My favorite car.

It's been a work in progress since I bought it over six years ago...

Can we borrow that this weekend?  We will take care of painting the Lowbrau livery.  We still have a gallon of rustoleum left over and some extra vinyl.  That way when we eat through another motor on the first day, we can pull yours out in the dead of the night and finally finish a race.

Looks great, and is sure to inspire one of our guys, Geoff, who is two years into a 914 restore. It finally came down off the rotisserie two weeks ago. It will be getting a Subaru motor.

Looks like a '74 914 2.0? what type of conversion did you use? quick-six? rich's? original?

Who built the motor? 2.6 is kind of a weird size. I would guess a 2.4 crank with 86mm pistons???

I see that you are running 4 lugs. BMW calipers on the front?

Yes a '74 conversion.

914-6 crank in a 2.4 case with 92mm p/c's . Short-Stroke.
Fast revving.

I run VW Fox front calipers. They fit under the 13" rims with little work.
Brake pads are 50% bigger than stock.
