In our Fury we use about 10 gallons per hour (it's thirsty) and for some reason going from a 440 to a 360 used more fuel, 360's are not efficient motors for some reason. The car had a stock 26 gallon tank and we put in a 30 gallon cell for racing which gave us about 3 hours max, and that was pushing it, but with a lot of experience doing this we do not let drivers go over two hours. Most of our mess-ups and black flags have been while a driver has gone over 2 hours, just a fatigue thing. We used displacement balls for the Thunderhill race to get our cell down to legal size and ran 1.5-2 hours stints all weekend.
