Re: 110 lap stint!

In our Fury we use about 10 gallons per hour (it's thirsty) and for some reason going from a 440 to a 360 used more fuel, 360's are not efficient motors for some reason.  The car had a stock 26 gallon tank and we put in a 30 gallon cell for racing which gave us about 3 hours max, and that was pushing it, but with a lot of experience doing this we do not let drivers go over two hours.  Most of our mess-ups and black flags have been while a driver has gone over 2 hours, just a fatigue thing.  We used displacement balls for the Thunderhill race to get our cell down to legal size and ran 1.5-2 hours stints all weekend.

Re: 110 lap stint!

Hmmm, pit stops were underreported, eh? Now I see where that 15 lap lead came from!

I knew driving wicked-fast and not getting black flagged couldn't explain it!
