Topic: Porsche 914 in Lemons?
Yes, that's my dream.
A four cylinder motor ain't gonna cut it though.
I have two ideas:
1. Re-ring my flat SIX 2.7 that's been in my shed for quite some time and fab up an intake manifold that allows me to run a 4bbl of some sort. I already have a wild 6-into-1 tee-pee header that came off a sand rail. I also have a 911 oil tank and I would pull some hocus-pocus to come up with a BIG oil cooler.
2. Install a SBC. Lot's of fab work and junk yard scouring for this one.
A friend of mine has been trying to give his SBC for years. Up until now , I've been waving him off...
Stock suspension chokes on a 914.
I'd need to make sway bars, modified springs, custom flares and some groovy aero package. Janky front splitter and a wing I scored off a wrecked GT3 last year.
I was already planning to have some cool rims made for my 'real' 914, so I'd borrow those. ( 16x10's ) Stock brakes with Porterfields will last 20 hours.
Sure, we'll never win, but it will be a whole cooler than 'filthy'...
( Don't curse us )
