Re: Thinking About Jumping In
Chit! I am looking for a few around here. I feel if I can port them, modify the intake, do the exhaust the correct way, and drop a good 4bbl on top of it, hopefully I can do something.

So, after discussing with the team, we have decided the D-150 is just unsafe, I would not feel my responsibility to the other teams to be safe is met. The vehicle just wont handle and I would hate to have a MG or Alfa next to me whilst trying to go around a corner in a Long Bed full size truck. So current team direction is unknown, I personally want something unique and sweet. I am in constant search for something, If anyone knows something in south texas let me know, There is a warm community here and I appreciate it!
scour Craigslist.

Didn't somebody post a 280ZX Turbo in TX a few days ago? You could join the Z club and be the butt of lots of jokes from the judges. Misery loves company...
I have actually been looking all over Texas Craigslists, Nothing yet has caught my eye! I love Z cars but I want something unique and realiable. I was driving my 2004 Tacoma SR5 Prerunner when I realized there is no way I am going to take a corner in my Dodge!

Certainly not with THAT attitude!
I am just concerned with the safety of the little people in their little cars.

All that for $500.
Unique and cheap does come along. Just be patient.
Reliability on the other hand is harder to come by.

I'll bite your ankles! (Gives finger)
Wussies.
With the right car choice and a creative entry theme, no problem. Pick an E30 or Miata and you'll be watching from the grandstands.
How about finding a Checker and doing the DC Cab theme complete with Mr. T?
You could always do fake passengers. They are very common.
In that case, I'm sure Jay and Nick would gladly give you an exemption.
I thought I would post a few things for sale for others to check out that my team has already dismissed!

Damn my team and their stubbornesss.
Show them my post on the Edsel station wagons. Be adament that this is what you want. They may lighten up and give you some breathing room. If they don't, find some new team members. This method has always worked for my friend and his 3 wives.
There might be a mid-90s Nissan Sentra for sale real cheap in Oklahoma soon. My sister-in-law's clutch went out last night, and a clutch job would cost more than the car's worth. I've seen many of these cars (including hers) beat to hell and back and still running. Strip as much weight out as you can and that 1.6L may just be enough.
Top gear is not a place to learn to drive, quite the opposite.
Too funny. I just got my white Stig suit to hopefully cut a couple 10th's off my times. Bad idea.
