yeah most of it has tire walls, but the outside of the carousel can be narly if you go off. I can't imagine safety being the real issue knowing that the SCCA uses the track.

$$$$$???? It's probably the cheapest road course track to rent East of the
Mississippi. It's a fast track but no faster than Summit Point and they run
SCCA Nationals & Regionals there, with GT-1 cars at each outings etc.....

look, no one knows the real reason. bottom line is that it's (sadly) not on the schedule for next year. we've been over and over the speculation as to why in other threads. no need to rehash it.
Yes. Soft and cushy tires walls that double as mosquito condo's. The most un-safe thing about Nelson is the possibility of contracting malaria.
Yes, they have an estimated 3 - 4 million tires surrounding the track.
I'm not saying that this was the reason, but there were more cars in the grass and tires than I've ever seen before.
You should try Moroso - now called Palm Beach something. You could drown on that track. Chumps has booked the good tracks in Florida.
