Surely the flying pig will have one?
Since y'all hang out on the forums with ALL OF THE INSIDER INFORMATION, here are the general stipulations/parameters we have to work within:
- Johnny Lightning isn't going to make any brand-new molds just for Lemons cars. So what they've made before is what our options are for the cars. They've recently started adding more import molds, which is good, but there are basically no Euro imports right now.
- For the time being, Johnny Lightning aren't able to alter the molds much to include objects outside the stock body line. That was mentioned as a possibility (far) down the line, but expect the first few will be "stock" body configurations with good paint schemes.
- The molds are also subject to approvals from the original OEMs with the license. In other words: The original carmaker has to say "Yes, you can use this mold with the 24 Hours of Lemons" name. Honda is apparently easy to work with. Some of the other OEMs are not and just won't allow any Lemons associations with their name.
- Even if the OEM approves the mold in principal at the start, they still have to approve final artwork, too. Considering these are ultimately toys that kids might end up with, the themes can't be too non-family-friendly, either.
That's a fairly narrow set of parameters, but there is one already approved for the next JL release. I've got a good idea what I want for a third release, but it depends on what else JL is releasing at the same time because they won't want to have a two of the same make/model in a release if they can help it.
So if you've got ideas, take a look at what they've made in the past and see if that's even available as a starting point: http://www.jlcollector.net/
