Topic: Crazy Brilliant or Crazy Crazy?
Working on the car today I came up with a dastardly plan to help our Mark Ate turn.
You see the problem is that the big V8 sits directly over the front wheels. That can't be good for the balance.
Tommy managed to spin the tires for an entire 1/8th mile pass last night at the dragstrip ( on the rain tires from Houston's race )
So I started thinking of a solution... Then it hit me, shift the engine back about 12 inches, letting the bulk of the engine sit behind the front wheels.
This should move our CG back 4-5" which can't possibly hurt us.
I think we can do it without affecting or modifying the cage too which is a big bonus. It's all labor and welding time...
So it this a crazy good idea or a crazy crazy idea?
