Topic: Thoughts on what works cheap for in car communication

Hand held walkie talkies?  CB Radios?  I know they need to be mounted, but can the mount be affixed to the cage or whatever then the mic or hand piece be removed from the mount to talk back to the crew, then placed back into the mount?

Thx ... sounds like we can go hand held with ear buds

I'm going to try to rig the hand held so is removable and the driver can grab during yellows to talk back in

I don't think they want removable radios for safety.  I believe they need to be mounted.
